Matthew Turner
Concept of Degrees Consulting

Matthew Turner, M.S. Applied Sociology, is an explorer. Whether in a kayak or in a board room, he seeks the unexpected. And, as a traveler, is as interested in the journey as in the destination. He is a public speaker, participatory educator, youth advocate, and community engagement consultant. Matthew works extensively with Alaskan communities and tribes, and offers consultation to government and tribal organizations across the U.S. and Canada. He helped to develop the independent living program for Alaska’s foster care system, and has significant experience working with diverse groups of youth and nonprofit boards. When he's not on the job he is most likely found on the trail or on the water somewhere in Southeast Alaska.
