Matthew Turner - Concept of Degrees

Matthew Turner lives and works in Sitka, Alaska. When he is not moving stones he likes to paddle a kayak or play a guitar.

Concept of Degrees - the idea of how we are all connected.
The degrees that separate us from others can be lessened by reaching out, exploring, and discovering connections.

We cannot live only for ourselves.
A thousand fibers connect us
with our fellow men;
and among those fibers,
as sympathetic threads,
our actions run as courses,
and they come back to us as effects.

—Herman Melville
